Career Overview

Sir Colin has thirty years experience of British European policy and extensive and varied experience in the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the British Cabinet Office and the European Commission.

He was closely involved in the UK approach to German unification. He has served as Chef de Cabinet to the Vice President of the European Commission, Chair of the Executive Committee of the OECD and is a Member of the Queen’s Counsel Selection Panel. As well as being Ambassador to the Netherlands his diplomatic career has included postings in Warsaw, Islamabad, The Hague and Bonn.

He is an accredited Mediator through ADR Group, a sister company to ADRg Ambassadors.
