Career Overview

During his lengthy career within the British Diplomatic Service, John gained first hand experience of leadership and a strong understanding of the private sector and its interface with the public sector.

He served as political secretary in India in the 1970s, and later as the administrator for the Festival of India, and maintains a particular interest in Indian affairs and culture, and in Central Europe.

Other postings include being Head of European Union Department (External and Enlargement) in the FCO; European Integration Department, FCO; and Political Counsellor, British Embassy, Paris.

He is an accredited Mediator through ADR Group, a sister company to ADRg Ambassadors.  He is also Visiting Professor of International Relations at ITAM, EMxico City and at Canterbury Christchurch, UK.
